Other Related Depressive Disorders

While everyone experiences depression a little bit differently, here are some of the common symptoms of depression:

• Low mood and increased sadness most of the day, nearly every day

• Feelings of guilt, helplessness, worthlessness, or hopelessness

• Loss of interest, pleasure, and/or motivation in previously enjoyable activities or hobbies

• Increased isolation and/or irritability

• Significant weight loss or gain due to decrease or increase in appetite

• Changes in the way you sleep either difficulty falling asleep/staying asleep or difficulty getting out of bed and excessive sleeping

• Loss of energy and increase fatigue nearly every day

• Increased muscle/physical pain that could include migraines, upset stomach, or digestive issues, etc.

• Trouble focusing, concentrating or staying on task

• Increased thoughts about self-harm and/or suicide
